Heather Fitzenhagen is a lifelong member of the Republican party. Heather and husband, Richard DeBoest, have deep family roots in Fort Myers. They have two children, Zan and Olivia, and are proud to call Fort Myers home.
Heather graduated from Hollins University in Virginia with a BA, and Nova Southeastern University Law School with a JD. She was a Member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and Associate Editor of Nova Law Review. She is an experienced attorney, mediator, business owner, corporate manager, philanthropist, and community leader.
Heather’s diverse experience makes her the ideal candidate to represent District 78 in Tallahassee.Heather understands and cares about the concerns of residents and business owners in District 78. She supports small business development, and will work with business and civic leaders to create jobs and lower unemployment. She also supports Lee County Schools and STEM education.
Her experience as an attorney and mediator will serve District 78 well in negotiations and alternative dispute resolutions.Heather Fitzenhagen is the Marketing Director of the Condo & HOA Law Group, PLLC in Fort Myers. She also held various executive positions as Vice President of the AIG Advisor Group. She established Resolution Strategies, a mediation and arbitration business.Heather Fitzenhagen is a Member of the Florida Bar, Texas Bar and Lee County Bar Associations. She is a Certified Florida Circuit Civil Mediator, Certified Florida Family Law Mediator, and Certified Florida Foreclosure Mediator. She is also a Graduate of the Harvard Mediation Program.
Heather Fitzenhagen cares deeply about people who need help to make their lives better, and issues that make the community stronger. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors for the PACE Center for Girls, the Fort Myers Women’s Community Council, and the Lee County Association of Women Lawyers. She is a charter member of the Tiger Bay Club, and member of the American Heart Association’s Circle of Red and Executive Leadership Team. She is also an active supporter and volunteer of the American Red Cross, Hope Hospice Celebration of Women Committee, and Hollins University Alumnae Board, to name a few.
As a parent, resident and business owner in the Fort Myers area, Heather Fitzenhagen understands the diverse needs of our community, and has the experience necessary to affect positive changes.
Her mission is to support the growth and development of Fort Myers so that her children, and generations to come, will be proud to continue calling Fort Myers home.
